Why I write

I am not a writer.  I regularly struggle with the English language.  But since I have started my little family blog, I have really fallen in love with telling our stories.  I write for myself.  Some day my memory of these precious moments will be gone, but I will still have them to read and laugh about.  It is my personal journal and family update journal.  I write for the relatives who live so far away.  It's a chance for them to see the boys grow, since they can't be close.  I write for my children, who will one day want to share these stories with their own families.  We love to all sit together, looking through old stories and remembering those fun (and not so fun) times.  I only wish I had started this before I had children.  I hate not having anything from Calvin's babyhood written down.  I write because it makes me happy, gives me a place to organize all the pictures I take each month, and I think it is an important and worthwhile thing to do.  It's important to me, to share my testimony of the gospel I so fully believe in and treasure.  It is important to write down my ups and downs, the good and bad of my family life. And I love doing it. It may be an insignificant life to some readers, but it's mine, and I think it's pretty great, and worth sharing.  And this is why I write almost daily, about my Technicolored dream life.
